4–day/3-night ULAANBAATAR/TERELJ TOUR


Day l: Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, capital city of Mongolia and transfer to hotel. Registration. Tour the Gandan Monastery, founded in the 17th century, survived the long period of religious repression in the 1930s, and until 1991 it served as the only functioning monastery in the country. Today approximately 150 lamas (monks) reside there. Spectacular religious ceremonies that are open to the public are held throughout the year. An opportunity to view the Migjid Janraisig Temple. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Breakfast at hotel. Drive to the Terelj National Park 80 km one way north-east of Ulaanbaatar. Visitors can view fascinating rock formations against a backdrop of pine-covered mountains; and wander along the wooded banks of a mountain stream. Transfer to Juulchin Tourist camp, Half day horse riding.Enjoy Mongolian Traditional dinner. Overnight in Ger-traditional dwelling of Mongols.

Day 3: Breakfast at camp. Local exploration of Turtle Rock in the morning. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Free time at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Breakfast at hotel. Departure transfer.

5-day/4-night ULAANBAATAR/GOBI DESERT DREAM TOUR


Day l: Arrive in Ulaanbaatar,capital city of Mongolia and transfer to hotel.Registration.Tour the Museum of Natural Hsitory with its splendid collection of Dinosaur exhibits. Overnight at hotel.


Day 2: Breakfast at hotel. Transport to airport for flight to Gobi base camp. Visit Eagle Valley National Park (32 miles) for morning trek and opportunity to photograph the stunning landscape, “Gobi Glacier” and intriguing wildlife. Picnic lunch in National Park, leisure hiking. En route to base camp, visit to a camel breeder camp for photo opportunity, camel riding session and explore the nomad’s lifestyle. Enjoy an evening of the Gobi Desert peaceful night. Overnight in Mongolian gers.


Day 3: Breakfast at base camp. A day trip to Bayan Zag, the Flaming Cliffs* (50 miles), for exploring the Gobi “Cemetery of Dinosaurs” and the trail of Roy Chapman Andrews. Return to base camp for dinner and overnight.


Day 4: Breakfast at base camp. Late morning flight to Ulaanbaatar. In the afternoon, tour the “Gobi” cashmere factory for shopping original and pure cashmere gifts and garments.Overnight at hotel.


Day5: Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport for departure.

5-day/4-night ULAANBAATAR/ BAYANGOBI TOUR


Day l: Arrive in Ulaanbaatar,capital city of Mongolia and transfer to hotel.Registration.Tour the Museum of National History Museum with displays illustrative of Mongolia’s history and traditional lifestyle. Overnight at hotel.


Day 2: Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Hoyor Zagal tourist camp, 280 kms, 5 hours drive from Ulaanbaatar. Lunch on the way near Bayan Uul visit to local family located near sand dunes area and horse riding or drive to Temple Ovgont located in the mountain for sightseeing. Enjoy Mongolian Traditional dinner.
Overnight in Ger-traditional dwelling of Mongols.


Day 3: Breakfast at camp. Drive to Kharakhorin sum (sub district) Visit to Erdenezuu Monastery, once one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia and almost destroyed in the 1930s. Tour of the monastery grounds and several chapels with excellent examples of Buddhist iconography dating from the 16th century. Visit to the symbolic ruins of Karakorum, the 13th century capital of the Mongol Empire. Return to Hoyor Zagal ger camp for dinner and overnight.


Day 4: Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. After lunch, tour the “Gobi” cashmere factory for shopping original and pure cashmere gifts and garments. Evening cultural performance. Overnight at hotel.


Day 5: Breakfast at hotel. Departure transfer.

Huvsgul province, located in the Hangai mountain range in north western Mongolia, unique compared to other parts of Mongolia. Many ethnic groups live in Huvsgul; Halh, Darhad, Hotgoid, Urianhai, Buriad, and it’s the mother land of Reindeer Families “Tsaatan”. It’s the place where Heaven and Earth worshiping Shamans are still very powerful.

Gobi desert

 
 


In the Gobi desert tourists can view vast sand dunes, great Canyon the Glen of Condors, sigh herds of antelopes, khulans /wild horses/, argali /wild sheep/, snow leopards or ibex, visit hospitable nomads who herd the livestock or witness the flaming red cliffs where Roy Chapman Andrews made the discover of dinosaur fossils. The sights are truly endless, but one of great highlights for the tourists is camel riding in the scenic Gobi Desert.

ERDENE ZUU monastery
 

 


In 1586 when the Mongolian Khan Abtaisain returned home from his long pilgrimage to Tibet, he founded the first Buddhist monastery for its beauty it was named Erdene zuu or Hundred Treasures. Erdene zuu was the first Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. It is surrounded by a monumental wall with 108 stupas measuring 400x400 meters. Each of the four sites of the wall has a tower gat.
